The doctors were able to take out the breathing tube this afternoon, and Marc is breathing on his own with no extra oxygen, no sedatives, and some pain meds. HOORAY!!! He has been awake and responding to family, still very groggy and in pain from his injuries, but he is trying to communicate which is HUGE. :)

Oh Becky! I am so happy that you have made this sight! I wonder everyday what is going on. I want to hop on a plane and help clean out the cellar, split the wood and pick up the freezer. I feel too far away! And sweet Eli! What can I do for you? A friend of mine here runs a school for autistic kids, is there anything I can send you?
I want to be near all of you, I am too far away!
What other injuries does Marc have? Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life and keeping us updated.
I love you! Please send on all my love to the rest of your family too.

Becky,
This good news just made my eyes water! I'm so happy that Mark is breathing on his own and that prayers are being answered on his behalf. All of your love and support has blessed Mark and those of us who are close to you. Such fine examples show what a family is all about, in the good times and the trying ones too.
Love,
Alissa
